That brings us to the end of our live coverage of this Women's Asia Cup Encounter between Nepal Women and UAE Women! For now, it's the pair of Soumarya Dutta and Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of our Scorer/Analyst Manish Bishnoi. See you soon!
Indu Barma (Nepal Women Captain): "This feels great as it was our dream to beat UAE. I would like to thank the Cricket Association of Nepal for the opportunity, and fans for supporting us. Samjhana Khadka is a young player, and we wanted to give her a chance to showcase her talent. I am very happy with my team's efforts; they kept believing and pushing for this result."
Esha Rohit Oza(UAE Women Captain) - "To start with the batting, we didn't have a par score on the board. We were two down in the powerplay and the batters didn't convert their starts. We lost it in the middle overs. We assessed the pitch well in patches and couldn't hit the right lengths consistently. Too many bad balls released the pressure for them. Nepal are a great side and we don't take opponents likely. We will be playing better opponents from here onwards."
Samjhana Khadka (Player of the Match): "I am very happy to have made the country proud. I would like to thank everyone."
Player of the Match: Samjhana Khadka
It's time for the post-match presentation...
17:13 IST and Local Time- Samjhana Khadka finishes off in style and Nepal Women have registered their first ever win in Women's Asia Cup! They've beaten UAE Women here by 6 wickets and they're back in style after a 8 year hiatus in the tournament. A star is born here as Samjhana Khadka finishes off with a prolific knock of 72 runs from just 45 balls. Puja Mahato stayed with her till the end and finished off unbeaten on 7.

Nepal Women started off with a bang as Khadka went berserk in the powerplay. She picked up a flurry of boundaries to put the pressure on the UAE bowlers. Veteran Magar was playing second fiddle to her but she was stuck at one end. She eventually perished for 7 of 17 balls trying to go for the big shot.

Kunwar also struggled during her brief stay at the crease and she was also dismissed by Egodage who picked up two in the first half of the innings. It brought the Nepal skipper Indu Barma at the crease and Khadka continued her dominance at the other end. At the halfway stage of the innings, Nepal were 66/2 and the run chase seemed to be poised in their favor.

Egodage, the local girl for UAE Women was the pick of the bowlers as she picked up three wickets. Keny also picked up a wicket but the rest of the bowlers couldn't do much. They were blown away by an unbelievable knock from Khadka as she absorbed the pressure and batted out UAE from the game. Overall, it's a historic occasion for Nepal Women and they will cherish it for a long long time to come.
