Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings Captain): "It's definitely a wonderful feeling, especially in the last home game of the league stage. So, you know, it's definitely good to get a win under a huge amount of heat. In the batting stage, when we were around 55 for one in the powerplay, I definitely felt that we were cruising in the game. Just one or two wickets here and there can allow the opposition to get back into the game. As a team, we have naturally gifted stroke players coming in. So, my job was obviously to rotate the strike and try to stay till the end if any hiccups occurred. But overall, I think we were cruising without any pressure until the end.
We like pitches like these, but it also means that our batters have to take much more responsibility. When the wicket is slow and one side is bigger, it's always helpful to bowl slower balls into the pitch
