Milestone
What a game we just witnessed. KKR hold their nerves to win the game by the barest of margins. That brings an end to our coverage for this game. You can switch your tabs as the Punjab Kings are taking on the Gujarat Titans.

For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, Sidharth Gulati and AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Bye Bye.
Andre Russell (Player of the Match): "Yeah, for sure. I always back my bowling as I said earlier. But getting the ball in crucial time and I knew I had to contribute for the team. Happy with the two points.

When I was batting earlier, change-ups were difficult to hit. It was at the back of my mind. The cutters were gripping and I just had to get those two batters out. Sunil Narine's over was also important. Getting those two wickets was important and it resulted in the slide for RCB.

When I look at the equation, Harshit had one and Starcy had one. I had two. So I knew I had to bowl the 19th. I had to give Starcy more runs to defend. I had to keep mixing up my pace against DK who was not going to keep the strike. A good job done by the team."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Andre Russell
Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain): " Yeah, it takes a lot of your body and it drains you out completely because you go through so many emotions throughout the game and it's just tough to stay calm. But, you know, I'm elated that we got this victory and two points in the bank, nothing more than that.

Yeah, it's extremely tough, and the pressure is on. So, I believe that every individual should take that responsibility and put their hands up, saying, 'Okay, I'm going to deliver at this point in time.' And a few of them did just that. For example, Russell came on. He took two crucial wickets, completely changing the momentum in our favor. This kind of attitude and character are essential in the team.

You know, it's a funny game at the end of the day. When you require 18 runs off six balls, the pressure is squarely on the bowler, while the batsman's mindset is simply to attack every delivery. A single six can swiftly shift the momentum in favor of the batting side, putting tremendous pressure on the bowler. That's why it's crucial, as I mentioned earlier, to maintain our composure, stay focused on the present moment, and execute our plans as bowlers. Making the batsman hit where we want them to is key. Looking ahead, there will undoubtedly be more challenges like this in the games to come. So we need to stick to our routines and processes and see that we get the meetings right and execute according to what we plan.

Yes, it was a pivotal Knock, I would say, because I wanted to stay till the end and see to it that I, you know, steady the shift for the team. And we were losing back-to-back wickets in between. So I basically decided to stay till the end and get few fours here and there and change the momentum towards us. And that was happening really well."
Most Fours of the Match: Shreyas Iyer (7 fours)
Super Sixes of the Match: Wii Jacks (5 sixes. Rajat Patidar also hit five maximums but Jacks wins the award because he scored more runs than Patidar).
Fantasy Player of the Match: Andre Russell (116 points)
Electric Striker of the Match: Philip Salt (48 runs off 14 balls at a SR of 342.86)
