That brings to an end of the coverage the first T20I of the 3-match series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Bangladesh have won this game by 8 wickets.

Signing off for now, this is Hitesh Peddurwar bidding farewell, accompanied by co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and our insightful scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend filled with the joy of cricket. Until next time, keep enjoying the game! 🏏
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): " I think everyone played really well. The way Taskin Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan started for us was really good.

There is always room for improvement. Last couple of days we have trained hard. Tanzid played really well, hope he continues to do that for Bangladesh.

Yeah, rain breaks affect us but we cannot control those things. I am very happy that Tanzid finished the game for us."
Taskin Ahmed (Player of the Match)- "Firstly we had a great outing today. We have got all the basics covered, everyone trained very hard and that has paid off.

Each and everyone of us is working hard and putting up their 110% in the training and that is the reason we are doing better in the field."
Player of the Match- Taskin Ahmed
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): " Yeah, it's the responsibility of all the guys not only the senior guys. Unfortunately, our senior guys also didn't put up a show. We are not happy with the way we started the tour, to be honest.

Yeah, Wellington and Clive played really well. It's not their role through but they played really well. If our top order plays well, I am sure that these guys will do more for us.

Yeah, our batting is deep. We have floodlights in Harare too, we had many practice sessions under the lights. That 3 dropped catches really cost us."

21:50 IST & 22:20 Local Time| That will be it for the hosts! The debutant Tanzid Hasan finishes things off in style and takes his team over the line. Bangladesh have won this game by 8 wickets.

Earlier in the game, Zimbabwe's debutant Joylord Gumbie and Brian Bennet provided a promising start, but a collapse ensued after Gumbie's dismissal by Saifuddin. Despite losing key players early, Clive Madande and Wellington Masakadza staged a resilient partnership, adding 75 runs.

Madande's brisk 43 and Masakadza's composed 34 propelled Zimbabwe to 124 all out. Bangladesh's Mohammad Saifuddin and Taskin Ahmed shone with 3 wickets each for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh encountered an early hiccup in their pursuit of 125 runs when Litton Das fell early in the innings. Debutant Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Shanto navigated the tricky phase with cautious batting, ensuring that the run rate didn't falter despite intermittent rain delays that briefly interrupted play.

Their partnership of 52 runs for the second wicket laid a solid foundation for Bangladesh's chase. Although Shanto's departure for 21 brought a momentary pause, Tanzid continued to impress, marking his T20I debut with a splendid half-century.

Towhid Hridoy provided crucial support, guiding Bangladesh closer to the target without any further hiccups.
With Tanzid unbeaten on a brilliant 67 off 47 balls and Hridoy solidifying the innings with an unbeaten 33 off 18 deliveries, Bangladesh cruised to victory with eight wickets in hand
