That's all from the 1st  T20I encounter between USA and Bangladesh.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of co-commentators Saptak Sanyal and Ayan Chatterjee, who, along with scorer/analyst Raju Khariya, brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Harmeet Singh(USA)- "It is a great feeling to win a game in the home ground. It is good that we didn't giv Bangladesh the feeling to get a walkover. I thought it was still gettable after 13th over and I was backing myself. The main aspect was to stay in the game. I tried to take their best bowler on and did it.

Batting with Corey is a good experience. He helps us a lot to team up. He knows when to attack and how to win the games. We all look up to him."
Player of the Match- Harmeet Singh
Monank Patel (USA Captain): "Really happy with the win. Credit goes to the spinners. Bowled at the right areas and then we chased it down. Spinners took crucial wickets and we managed to bowl well.

I think they pulled things back and we played some bad shots. Areas to improve is there.

But happy to see Corey and Harmeet finishing things off well.

I think we did well and will want to continue the good work and take some positives from the game. We are up for it and will look to win the series."
Najmul Hossain Shanto(Bangladesh Captain)-  "I think we didn’t bat well today. We lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs and that costed us a lot. If we had scored a few more runs with the bat, it would have been a different ball game.

I don’t think its wrong with the skills, its all mental things, we didn’t bat well today and I hope the batters can make a comeback in the next game. Our spinners bowled really well but at the death we didn’t execute our bowling and lets hope we comeback well in the next game."
Time for the presentations.
12:05 AM IST, 2:36 PM Local | USA have defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in the 1st T20I game.

Having won the toss and putting the visitors into bat, Bangladesh got off to a decent start. Litton Das once again failed to deliver with the bat as he was dismissed for 14 off 15 balls. He was soon followed by his opening partner Soumya Sarkar who was dismissed for 20 off 13 balls. USA bowled really well in the first half of the 1st Innings. The Partnership for the 5th wicket of 67 runs between Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah Riyad got them some momentum to post a decent total on the board. Mahmudullah was dismissed in the 19th over but the small cameo from Jaker Ali in the final over of the Innings helped Bangladesh end up their Innings at 153/6.

Towhid Hridoy was the highest run scorer for Bangladesh as he scored 58 off 47 deliveries. Steven Taylor (2/9) was the pick of the bowlers for USA. USA required 154 runs to chase in the 20 overs against Bangladesh.

In reply, the Opening partnership was really good from the hosts as they got off to a good start. The USA Captain was run-out at the non-strikers end in a really unfortunate manner. The Partnership of 38 runs between Steven Taylor and Andries Gous had steadied the ship for USA as they were in par with the required run rate with 9 wickets in hand. Gous was dismissed by Rishad Hossain for 23 off 18 balls and since his dismissal USA lost momentum and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The pilled up a lot of dot deliveries and the required rate kept increasing.

Then came the match winning pair of Corey Anderson (34* off 25) and Harmeet Singh (33* off 13) who got together and added up a 62 runs partnership. The Required Rate was more than 12 and from there, these two batters pressed the acceleration button and won the game with 3 balls to spare.

This has been a remarkable victory for USA against a top quality side of Bangladesh. The Hosts take the lead in the 3 Match T20I Series 1-0.

USA have got a memorable victory!!! This is going to be a serious boost for them ahead of the T-20 World cup. They have every reason to be over the moon now. What an innings by Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh!!!
19.3 M Riyad to H Singh
4 FOUR! That's it! History made in Houston! USA have upstaged Bangladesh. Harmeet Singh hits the winning runs and is pumped up with screams. They deserve the win and Bangladesh were not in it. Good length delivery outside off, Harmeet goes up and over covers as the ball races away to the cover fence for a boundary. USA wins by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare. They take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.
Just 2 runs needed of 4 balls now!
19.2 M Riyad to C Anderson
1 Short of a length, Anderson pulls it away to long-on for a single.
Its a Maximum from Corey Anderson! They need just 3 runs off 5 balls now.
19.1 M Riyad to C Anderson
6 SIX! What a hit this is! Around the wicket. Fuller length delivery and in the slot, Anderson gets underneath it and lofts it away over deep midwicket as the ball sails over the fence for the maximum. The 150 comes up for USA.
Mahmudullah to bowl the final over.
USA have made a terrific comeback. They need just 9 runs of the final over. Shakib has one, Riyad has two and Rishad has one over remaining. So a spinner will bowl the final over. It seems to be difficult for Bangladesh.
