Phewww!! Yet another last ball thriller at The Hundred. The Phoenix did a double over the Trent Rockets tonight. That’s all we have for you from this encounter between Trent Rockets and Birmingham Phoenix.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide who, along with scorer/analysts Paras Yadav brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. CHEERS!
Dan Mousley (Hero of the Match): "Just try to get as many yorkers as I can. I tried to sneak in them and let the batters make mistake.

(On bowling fast yorkers) It's one thing that I have got on my side and I try to use it to my advantage.

(Message during the break) Just stay in the game. The closer it gets, the more nervous everyone gets. Just stay in the game.

(On Jacob Bethell) I'm lucky to spend time with him back in county cricket. He is going to go a long way in the future and he played a brilliant knock to take us to a competitive total.

This win will give us a lot of confidence. They are a good team, especially at Trent Bridge and really happy with this win tonight."
Hero of the Match: Dan Mousley
01:41 IST & 9:11 PM Local Time | What a final ball thriller yet again as Dan Mousley has single handedly snatched the game away from the Trent Rockets. He has silenced the entire crowd as the Phoenix win by 6 RUNS. TAKE A BOW Dan Mousley.

Earlier in the day, The Phoenix were put into bat by Moeen Ali. It was a belter of a surface and it had a little bit of seam movement as the Phoenix openers got of to a watchful start again the new ball.

Aneurin Donald got dismissed cheaply for 7. The 2nd wicket partnership between Ben Duckett (21 off 17) and Liam Livingstone (30 off 20) added 48 runs together but both these batters got dismissed in back to back sets to allow the Trent Rockets back in the game.

The middle order struggled for the Phoenix but it was once again another brilliant knock from Jacob Bethell (46* off 29) to take the Birmingham Phoenix into a competitive total of 138/6 on the board in their 100 balls.

Rashid Khan (2/23) was the pick of the bowlers for the Trent Rockets. Trent Rockets required to chase 139 runs in their 100 balls.

In reply, the in-form Tom Banton got dismissed early in the Innings for 7. Joe Root (33 off 19) announced himself back in the hundred and with a bang. Some outstanding strokes from the England International who along with Alex Hales (38 off 30) who added 61 runs together.

The Trent Rockets were cruising towards the run chase. Despite losing the set batters in quick successions, cameos from Powell and Sam Hain ensured they were way ahead in the game.

Birmingham Phoenix had to defend 10 runs of 10 balls. Then came the Hero of the Match, Dan Mousley who bowled 10 balls, picked up 3 wickets, conceded just 3 singles. He single handedly took the game away from the Trent Rockets and won it for his side.

The Birmingham Phoenix have done the double tonight as both the Women’s as well as the Men’s team won against the Trent Rockets. Yet another final ball thriller and the Phoenix came out victorious tonight winning the game by 6 runs.

0 A DOT IT IS AND BIRMINGHAM PHOENIX HAVE RISEN FROM THE ASHES HERE AT TRENT BRIDGE. Dan Mousley, take a bow!!! He concedes only three runs and picks up three wickets in his 10 consecutive balls and helps his side win the game by six runs. With seven required to win off the last ball, Mousley fires this one full on leg, Wood swings and only manages to get an inside edge back on his pad. With this, Birmingham Phoenix beat Trent Rockets by six runs.
