Phewww!! What a nail biting encounter we witnessed at Old Trafford tonight between the Manchester Originals and Trent Rockets. A thrilling day at the Hundred today as both the encounters were 1 run victories.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal who, along with scorer/analysts Raju Khariya brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. CHEERS!
Lewis Gregory(Trent Rockets Captain): "A lot was about fielding. We knew that if we could bowl pace off we will do good. We tried to bowl the slower ones to Raza and gladly it worked in the last over.

Last year we were on the wrong side a couple of times but this time it is a good start for them so far. I think the way the guys ran around the boundaries; it was commendable. Andy called the strategic time-out and we got a good couple of sets after that."
Tom Banton(Hero of the Match): "Ya very up and down. They played very well nd I think that is what Hundred is about. I think my job is to take on from the start and it was my day. Yes, two wins in a row in the first two games is a really good start."
Hero of the Match: Tom Banton
01:47 IST & 9:17 PM Local Time | A last ball thriller at Old Trafford as Trent Rockets have snatched it away from the Manchester Originals and have won the encounter by 1 RUN. What a game of cricket and what a final set from Jordan Thompson to win it for his side. The Manchester Originals would be gutted as they had the game in their grasp and threw it away in the final set.

Earlier in the day, the Trent Rockets were put into bat by Phil Salt. The rockets got off to a flying start with Tom Banton taking down the new ball bowlers in the Powerplay.

Tom Banton’s cameo ended after the powerplay as he was dismissed for 45. He was soon followed by his opening partner, Adam Lyth who was dismissed for 9. Sam Hain and Alex Hales struggled too against spin and Trent Rockets were in a spot of bother after 68 balls they were down to 88/4.

Rovman Powell quickfire knock of 27 off 17 balls helped the Trent Rockets get into a competitive total. Rashid Khan, who is playing his first game of the season, he remained unbeaten for 15. The Trent Rockets have posted a total of 145/7 in their 100 balls.

Tom Hartley was the pick of the bowlers for Originals with figures off 3/25. Manchester Originals required 146 runs to chase in their 100 balls.

In reply, the Manchester Originals lost two quick wickets inside 14 balls and were in a spot of bother. The 3rd wicket partnership between Holden and Madsen added 49 runs but it was Rashid Khan who broke the partnership to get the Trent Rockets back in the game.

Once again the Originals got a crucial partnership between Paul Walter played a brilliant cameo along with Max Holden to add 50 runs together and once again the partnership was broken by the Afghanistan International.

It was the Originals game to lose. 4 runs were required off the final 4 balls and Jordan Thompson produced a remarkable final four deliveries. Just conceded 2 runs and won his side the game by 1 run.

Imad Wasim, Sam Cook and Rashid Khan picked up two wickets each. The Trent Rockets have won both their games so far in the tournament and what a thriller we witnessed at Old Trafford tonight. The Trent Rockets have won by 1 run against the Manchester Originals.
