Milestone
That's it from our coverage of the important clash in the Super 8 stage between England and South Africa. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Aiden Markram (South Africa Captain): "Today's game, in the last 3 overs the odds were against us but the bowlers got the execution right. The skill helped us a lot back there.

The powerplay was decent with the bat. Quinny and Reeza took the powerplay decently for us. The pitch got a bit slower, would have liked 20 more runs if I am being greedy at the back of that good start. We had to try and squeeze as many runs in the middle. As a whole we are getting closer to the really complete game of cricket and not quite just yet but definitely on the right tracks.

It was always going to be a challenge. You just need 1 or 2 to have a really good day. We just have trust on each guy. On their day to put in a good performance on their day. Not looking too deeply but trusting the guys and their abilities.

Always a tricky one, you need to allow the bowlers to pick their skills. Whether to bowl the yorker or slower. The execution might have let us down but its okay. Credit to Liam and Brookie but ultimately good to see the bowlers respond in the last couple of overs.

Happy to hold on the catch, looks like it made a big interest."
Jos Buttler (England Captain): "I would say in the powerplay. Quinton de Kock came in with a lot of intent and we couldn't match-up while we were batting. We were 20 runs behind. They bowled well but de Kock's innings was the difference.

It still is a good wicket. We did well with the ball and came in brilliantly. Liam and Harry put up a good partnership and almost took us home but credit to South Africa for closing it out.

Powerplay was the best time to bat and Quinny had recognized that. He took on our bowlers and that made the difference.

Liam is very understanding about how T20 cricket is while batting at that position. I guess he has made peace with it. But he is hitting the ball well in the nets and good to see him score those runs.

Still very much in the competition. We have played really well but just couldn't get across the line but we still believe."

Quinton de Kock (Player of the Match): "I think we have seen a couple of night games here. We have played in the Caribbean league here. The surfaces don't play the same way as it does in the night games. It plays differently in day and night games.

My plan was to score as many runs as I can. The wicket was pretty good. There was good bounce as well.

I carried the confidence. Nothing different. I took it as every other game and took on.

I thought we bowled pretty well, especially in the powerplay when it's easier to score against the new ball. We controlled it really nicely. Otherwise, we were pretty solid to defend 160 on a pretty decent wicket is a very good effort."
Player of the Match: Quinton de Kock
Akshay: This is the best example of the phrase - 'catches win you matches'. Crucial catches from Hendricks, Nortje, Stubbs and Markram and they are home.
