That's it from our coverage from the fixture between New Zealand and Papua New Guinea from the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "Turning up and trying to execute on this surface which is pretty much hitting in the area and let the surface do the work. The boys did well today. Whatever total you are chasing at the surface is gonna be a grind and its nice to get across the line.

Whenever you come to any tournament you want to start strong. Conditions have been challenging, adapting fast would have been important to very strong teams who have great knowledge of these conditions. Unfortunately we didn't get across the line.

After every tournament there's a bit of reflection. There's a few older and younger guys. Boult has been a great and consistent performer across formats.

As a guy Boult has a big appetite to keep getting better. He trains really hard, he is fit as ever and very clear with the way he wants to operate. New ball is something that has been his own for some time. He sets the tone and performs well for his country. Its ben a number of ICC events and he has made a great contribution. Fantastic moment for him."
Assad Vala (Papua New Guinea Captain): "A lot of learnings to take from this World Cup. About the batting, we have to quickly adapt to the conditions in front of us. It was a challenge but we tried our best.

There are areas we need to improve. They took the advantage of the conditions as there was a bit in the wicket and they exploited it. They hit the surface hard.

With the World Cup, we have been here for a few weeks now and hopefully, the people back home will take up this sport as they keep following the games.

We have the World Challenge League in Kenya in a few months. Hopefully, we can improve and bring out a good performance in that."

Lockie Ferguson (Player of the Match): "Yeah, look, a tough wicket to bat on. From my point of view, it was nice. It's sad to be leaving today as we had arrived here with high hopes but that's how the game is.

There are not many T20 games these days on these types of surfaces. The surface was assisting and just tried to use the conditions by bowling seam-up deliveries.

It's hard to know what's the par total. We have seen a lot of low totals. From our point of view, we bowled well and put the opposition teams likes West Indies and Afghanistan under pressure.

The crowd has been amazing. It's been party every day in the Caribbean and good to see the school kids turn up today."
