That's all from this high-scoring clash, folks! Thank you for staying with us throughout the match. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off along with scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!
Anamul Haque (Player of the Match and Khulna Tigers Captain): "This was a different game, Mushi batted very well. Lewis provided a solid start and we all know when a Caribbean batter gets set, they go unbelievable. So all credit goes to I think Lewis and Afif also, he batted exceptionally well."
Player of the Match: Anamul Haque
Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal Captain): " Oh, yeah, definitely. I thought we batted exceptionally well, especially the way we started and then we caught up. We could have scored maybe ten runs more because we have to give a lot of credit to Faheem Ashraf, the way he bowled the last two overs. And you know this, in this kind of game, you have to sometimes give a lot of credit to the opponent.

They batted extremely well. They took their chances that paid off. We didn't ball that well and then a lot of free hits. But in this kind of tournament, you will have bad games, you will have good games. I'm not too worried about it. I know we have a solid team and we're going to come back very strong. So sometimes you have to give it to the opponent.

If you see, when Thomas was bowling, there was some extra bounce, so that made it very difficult for us at the beginning, but I thought we came back very, very strongly."

9:34 PM IST, 10:04 PM Local Time: Khulna Tigers chased down 187 runs quite comfortably, winning by 8 wickets and 12 balls to spare. Thanks to Evin Lewis for that rollicking start and Anamul Haque for a well-composed, unbeaten 63 runs.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Fortune Barishal faced early challenges as they struggled to score, losing Ibrahim Zadran for 11 runs. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar then accelerated the run rate, but a miscommunication led to Sarkar's dismissal for a quick 22 runs off 10 balls.

Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim scored at a brisk pace to keep the scoreboard ticking but Tamim fell 10 runs shy of his half-century, falling prey to Nasum Ahmed. Rahim paired up with Mahmudullah and continued his merry ways, notching up his fifty in the process. Mahmudullah smashed a few lusty blows but failed to bat till the end, departing for 27 runs, while Rahim remained unbeaten on 39-ball 68 runs, finishing the innings with a biggie and helping his side post 187/4 in 20 overs.

Oshane Thomas, Nasum Ahmed, and Mukidul Islam celebrated a solitary wicket for Khulna Tigers.

In pursuit of 187 runs, Khulna Tigers got off to a rollicking start as Evin Lewis came out all guns blazing and started pummeling the bowlers from the word go, while Anamul Haque batted sensibly and played second fiddle in the opening partnership. Lewis smashed 53 runs off 22 balls, the fastest fifty in the history of the BPL, but departed in the very next ball after completing his fifty.

Afif Hossain joined skipper Anamul in the middle, and the duo continued with a similar approach to batting. They added a 70+ run partnership for the second wicket, taking the game far away from Fortune Barishal.

However, Mohammad Imran trapped Afif for 41 runs, providing a much-needed breakthrough for Barishal, though it was a little too late for them. Shai Hope looked in a bit of a hurry and smashed 10-ball 25* runs, helping his side win by 8 wickets with 12 balls to spare. On the other hand, Anamul carried his bat for the Tigers, scoring 63 runs off 44 balls.

Fortune Barishal failed to defend 187 runs, and it was challenging for the bowlers to grip the ball due to the dew factor. Mohammad Imran took both wickets that fell in the second innings.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation....

4 SHOT! Shai Hope finishes off the things in some style! Short of a length delivery on the stumps. Hope stands tall and pulls it towards the deep mid-wicket region. The ball lands just short of the boundary cushion and it's a four.  Khulna Tigers pummel the Tamim Iqbal-led Fortune Barishal by 8 wickets and 12 balls to spare, and they make it two in two.
