In bowling department we still need to work, quite happy with the results and will concentrate on the tournament. I think I have myself to blame and Miraz as well as we could have run a ball batting but we need to improve."

The combination is good, bad day for us and we will come back stronger in the next game. We came back with the bat later on. But we need to bat better in powerplay. Long way to go in the tournament. Earlier, challenging innings for Rangpur Riders, the early dismissal of Brandon King set the tone, and the team struggled to gain momentum. Skipper Nurul Hasan Sohan contributed 23 runs off 23 balls, while Shamim Hossain Patwari fought with a resilient 34 off 33 balls. Mohammad Nabi added 10 runs, and Mahedi Hasan showcased a commendable innings, scoring 29 off 19 balls. However, Rangpur Riders managed only 134/9 in 20 overs.

Fortune Barishal's bowlers delivered an exceptional performance, with Khaled Ahmed standing out with figures of 4/31 in 4 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammad Imran Junior, Dunith Wellalage, and Shoaib Malik all claimed vital wickets.

In pursuit of a target of 135 runs, Fortune Barishal had a solid start with openers Tamim Iqbal and Ibrahim Zadran adding 32 runs for the first wicket. Zadran departed for 12, but Tamim's aggressive innings of 35 off 24 balls set the tone. Mehidy Hasan Miraz joined Tamim, contributing 34 runs for the second wicket.

Despite losing wickets, partnerships between Miraz and Mushfiqur Rahim (27 runs) and Mahmudullah Riyad and Shoaib Malik (25* runs) guided Barishal to victory.
