That brings the curtains on our live coverage of this Super Smash encounter between the Northern Brave and the Canterbury Kings! For now, it's Soumarya Dutta taking your leave on behalf of my co-commentator Wali Siddiqui and our Scorer/Analyst, Ashok Dayma. See you soon!
William O'Rourke (Player of the Match): Big total on the board, we were lucky with that as we just had to run in hard and force the issue for the batsmen. All the bowlers bowled pretty well. Started off pretty well, ran in hard and hit the wicket hard which caused problems for the batsmen which eventually led to wickets.
13:22 IST, 20:52 Local time - Northern Brave will finish off with a paltry 138/7 in their 20 overs and they've trounced by the Canterbury Kings, at their home ground. The Kings have won this game by a whopping margin of 90 runs and it has been a comprehensive performance from them with both bat and ball. They put up their highest ever total in the process.
The Northern Brave got off to a disastrous start as they lost their top order in the powerplay. Will O'Rourke bowled an outstanding spell with the new ball and he generated some great pace. He cleaned up the likes of Henry Cooper, skipper Jeet Raval and debutant Flynn. Katene Clarke continued to battle on though as he smashed a few big ones in the powerplay.
The struggle continued in the middle overs as Katene Clarke perished trying to up the ante and Bocock followed him soon after. The target seemed far fetched at that stage when Tim Pringle and Scott Kuggeleijn joined each other at the crease. The pair played a few lusty hits and managed to take the scoreboard to some sort of respectability. They put up a 57 run stand before Scott Kuggeleijn was dismissed.
Tim Pringle hung around till the end of the innings and remained unbeaten on 38. It was a fantastic bowling effort from the Canterbury Kings and it was Will O'Rourke, who led the charge with the ball. He picked up four wickets in his spell and was impeccable up front. Michael Rippon was also pretty good as he gave away just 16 runs from his spell, as was Foulkes who went for only 23 from his four overs.

19.6 A McKenzie to T Pringle
1 Bowls it much fuller and at middle as that's been driven to long-on for one. With that, the game comes to an end as the Kings have secured a win by 90 runs.
19.5 A McKenzie to T Pringle
2 Bowls another cutter at off while hitting the length. That's been heaved away to the cow-corner for two runs.
19.4 A McKenzie to T Pringle
2 Bowls it slow and short outside off. Pringle tries to pull but the ball ends up at no-man's land within the circle at mid-wicket for two.
19.3 A McKenzie to K Clarke
1 Bowls it slow and short at middle as that's been pulled to mid-wicket for a single.
Back to back dropped chances and nothing seems to be sticking for the Northern Brave at the moment.
