00:46 IST and 21:16 Local Time | That’s the end of the 2nd ODI between South Africa Women and Sri Lanka Women. South Africa won the match by 7 wickets with 14 balls to spare.

After losing the toss Sri Lanka were put into bat first in the 2nd WODI. Vishmi Gunaratne and skipper Chamari Athapaththu opened the innings for the visitors. They faced an early setback  as Gunaratne was dismissed for 7 of 17 balls. Athapaththu was then joined by Hasini Perera in the middle. The duo added 48 runs for the second wicket before Perera was dismissed for 15 of 35 balls. Sri Lanka’s middle order came up with some solid partnerships in the innings which helped them reach the 200-run mark. Hansima Karunaratne scored 33 of 60 balls, Kavisha Dilhari scored 42 of 41 balls and Nilakshi de Silva managed to score 36 of 42 balls. Towards the end of the innings Oshadi Ranasinghe chipped in with 20 of 27 balls to help Sri Lanka post a total of 229 runs after losing all the wickets. With a target of 230 on the board, skipper Laura
Wolvaardt and Lara Goodall opened the innings for South Africa. They were down to 27-2 when Sune Luus came to bat. She also couldn’t last long on the crease and was dismissed for 21 of 39 balls. It was then Wolvaardt and Kapp's show at Diamond Oval. The duo added an unbeaten 147 runs for the fourth wicket. Laura Wolvaardt went on to complete her century and scored 110* of 141 balls while Marizanne Kapp scored 80* of 84 balls to help their team win the match and lead the series 1-0.

For Sri Lanka, Achini Kulasuriya, Oshadi Ranasinghe and Inoka Ranaweera picked one wicket each in the innings to put some brake on the scoring rate at the beginning of the innings.
47.4 K Kavindi to M Kapp
4 Kapp finishes things off in style!! A boundary to end the game and the Proteas are 1-0 ahead in the 3 match series with the decider to come. Kavindi bowls a good length delivery at the middle and leg stump. Kapp swivels and pulls it through the deep square leg fielder's left to get a boundary. She hugs Laura Wolvaardt in delight and it's the Kapp-Wolvaardt duo who did a magnificient work to chase down the runs.
SCORES ARE LEVELLED!!
47.4 K Kavindi to M Kapp
WD WIDEEEE !!!! Too full sliding down leg, Kapp lets it go to the keeper to level the scores.
