After being asked to field first, Gujarat bowlers got wickets at regular intervals, they didn't bowl too many loose ones and restricted Saurashtra to 122/6 in 16.2 overs, before rain stopped play and that ended Saurashtra's innings. Harvik Desai smacked 41 off 22. For Gujarat, Chintan Gaja, Ravi Bishnoi and Piyush Chawla grabbed two scalps each.
Post an hour's gap and the calculations from VJD method, Gujarat's target was adjusted to 105 off 12 overs. They got off to a flier with openers Urvil Patel and Priyank Panchal putting on 37 in only three overs. Chirag Jani removed Urvil, who made 27 off 12 with four boundaries and a maximum.
