Well here's a surprise!! Ashwin did not get a chance to bat today. But no one can stop him from batting at the nets. He can be spotted hitting the nets right after the match. Dedication of Ash Annaπ₯
Mohammad Shami (POTM): "It depends on your captain and depends on the situation of the game on how to tackle this heat. With the new ball, you always love to bowl at least 4 overs on the trot despite the heat. Enjoyed the wicket of Mitchell Marsh, always like the outside edge carrying behind the wickets especially when you can control the swing.
It was very important to hit right areas with the ball, either at full pace or if you go slow. But keeping the right lengths was key. We have bowled together for a long period of time and we know what exactly to do. Always enjoying bowling with tandem with you co-fast bowler."

KL Rahul (India Captain):"It's not the first time and great to lead the side again. I have done it before.
The commitment and the intensity that we gave away in the afternoon. It was not like Colombo. But we had to stay committed out there fitness wise and we were sharp. Well, the bowlers had to bowl 10 overs and they did their job.
Good to see Shubman doing well and good to get the runs on the board. It was a difficult day with the gloves on. Lot of balls hit the hand and that's how it is as a keeper.
With Surya, it was all about playing good shots and rotate strikes and taking it deep. We played good cricketing shots. We kept it simple and got the job done in the end. I feel that was the key and glad we got the win in the end."
Game Changer of the Match: Mohammad Shami
Pat Cummins (Australia Captain): "As a person, I am happy that I am back. Good to be here in India. Few guys batted well, few guys bowled well. [on the injured players]They would not be ready by the second probably, but hopefully in the third. Maxy has just arrived in India.
Body feels good. Used the break to freshen up. Strengthened in. Yeah, Smith had his first hit in a while and Davey was brilliant.
Yeah, no doubt you put one eye on the big tournament. It's great to get everyone together. You want to put your rhythm in. We might rest and rotate some of the other guys and hope they can give their 100 percent."
