So that marks the end of our coverage from the 28th game of the ongoing Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars. Sydney Sixers defeated their opponent comprehensively to gain some confidence.

For now, this is me, Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned to our network to follow the live coverage of games across the globe. Good bye, CHEERS!
James Vince (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it was good. I think the bowlers in the second half did a fantastic job to stem the flow of runs. Obviously, with Maxi and Lawrence going reasonably well there, I thought the bowlers at the back end shut them down well. I don't think it was the easiest wicket, but, you know, 150- 157 from where they were was a great effort and gave us good confidence going into the chase.

I wouldn't say mastered it, tossed a few into the gaps, but, yeah, I felt like it was sort of wicket where didn't want to let the run rate climb too high. As you say, scoring at 12-13 in an over at the back end could have been difficult. So Hughes played a great knock around me and, yeah, I guess we just managed to find the boundary at the right time.

Apart from the previous game against them, I would like a few more runs in this competition. So, yeah, hot luck, but a good opportunity to stop the order. Although not been scoring that many runs, haven't felt too bad and conditions have been reasonably difficult on the hole. So although it was a little bit sticky tonight, it was fairly true. So it's nice to spend some time in the middle.

He [Murphy] is a top-class bowler. The lengths he hits and the way he found something out of the wicket, he bowled beautifully.

I normally get shunted down to three, but maybe Smudge [Smith] can come and play in the middle order. It'd be great to have him back if he's available."

16:49 IST and 22:19 Local Time | Sydney Sixers have won the contest with 11 balls and 7 wickets to spare and this has been a clinical performance from them.

Coming to bat first, Melbourne Stars got a good start to the innings with Tom Rogers and Dan Lawrence scoring a few boundaries. Rogers got out scoring 19 and just after that, Stars lost Beau Webster. After these two wickets, skipper Glenn Maxwell came in and smashed a few boundaries to move on to 31 but he departed in the 14th ball of his innings. Dan Lawrence got out scoring 36 off 34 balls. After that, Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright batted throughout the innings to help their team score 156 after the final ball of the first innings. The last couple of overs gave 30 runs to the Stars. Stoinis scored 34 and Cartwright scored 29.

Todd Murphy took two wickets for the Sixers and Tom Curran and Ben Dwarshuis took a wicket each.

Coming to chase the total, the Sixers lost Josh Philippe cheaply for just 9 runs. But the other opener, James Vince and Daniel Hughes took the charge from there and registered a 99 run partnership between them and that helped the Sixers to get into a very comfortable position. Hughes got out scoring 41 hitting 4 boundaries and a six. Vince was batting really well but he couldn't finish the match for his team. He scored 79 runs off 57 balls with 12 boundaries. After his dismissal, skipper Moises Henriques(8*) and Jordan Silk(13*) finished the game for the Sydney Sixers with 11 balls to spare.

Scott Boland took 2 wickets and Beau Webster took a wicket for the Stars.
That's the game for the Sixers!

4 Over the wicket. Yorker on the stumps. Silk flicks it to deep backward square leg. The ball rolls down to touch the boundary rope. Sydney Sixers win by 7 wickets and 11 balls to spare. Also, they break the 4-match winning streak of the Maxwell-led Stars.
The scores are level now!!! Sixers need just a run to seal the victory with two overs left.
