Milestone
That is the end of our coverage as well. Harry Brook led from the front to keep the series alive. Australia still have the upper hand with a lead of 2-1. The fourth ODI will be played at the Lord's on Friday (September 27).

For now, this is me, Ajay Pal Singh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi, who brought you all the live-action of this thrilling fixture. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!

Harry Brook (POTM and England Captain): "We started off with the ball very well. We got some wickets as well. But they got partnerships in the middle to push the score past 300.

For us, Jacks helped me with a partnership. Jacks tried to stay out there as long as possible and build that partnership.

The wicket got better to bat on as Australia's innings came to an end. It was a simple message of going out and playing your own game.

Thank you, hopefully, first of many. Thankfully it came off today. Nice to get the first on the board.

We are going to keep on doing what we said we are going do and keep the group positive which will hold us in good stead."

Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "I thought we did well to get to 300. Hardie in the end did well to get us past the 300-run mark. After the start, I thought 250 was good but yeah 300 was amazing. England were too good with the bat. They got a good partnership going so fair play to them.

We now got couple of days time and try to win the series in London. I thought we tried everything we had but it just wasn't enough on the day.

Anytime we miss him (Adam Zampa), it is going to be hard work for us. Looking forward to welcome him back in the coming games."
This 46-run (DLS) win for England has broken Australia's 14-match winning streak. This is England's first win against Australia in the last 8 ODIs.
12:45 AM IST & 8:15 PM Local Time: England stay alive in the series as they win the third ODI by 46 runs via DLS method. England needed 51 runs when a heavy shower forced the umpires to take the players off the field. The rain got heavier and the match officials had no other option but to call off the game.

Earlier in the match, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. They started well by removing Matthew Short and Mitchell Marsh without conceding too many runs.

Steve Smith and Cameron Green steadied the ship with an 84-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Green departed for 42 but Smith carried on and got to a fine half-century.

He made 60 off 82 before losing his wicket. Marnus Labuschagne fell for a three-ball duck. Alex Carey once again bailed Australia out of trouble with a fine knock of 77 off 65.

Glenn Maxwell chipped in with a cameo of 30 off 25 and Aaron Hardie smashed 44 off just 26 balls to take Australia over the 300-run mark.

The visitors posted 304/7 as Jofra Archer took 2/67 and Brydon Carse, Jacob Bethell, Will Jacks and Liam Livingstone all got one wicket each.

In reply, England too lost their openers cheaply. Both Phil Salt and Ben Duckett were removed by Mitchell Starc.

Will Jacks and England captain Harry Brook then steadied the ship with a solid partnership of 156 runs. Both batters took the attack to the Aussie bowlers and smashed them all around the park. Jacks fell for 84 off 82 but Brooks carried on and brought up his maiden century in the ODI format.

Jamie Smith failed to make an impact but Liam Livingstone played some attacking shots before rain arrived in Durham to put an end to the proceedings.

The match couldn't restart and England were awarded the game as they were ahead by 46 runs on the DLS method. Both teams will now meet at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Friday (September 27) in the fourth ODI.
