Phew!!! Chinnaswamy never disappoints! If it does one, then they are to the bowlers! The innings of Fakhar Zaman kept Pakistan alive in the tournament. They live another day, and they live big time. Two crucial points and a positive net run rate! New Zealand have plenty to do now when they face Sri Lanka in their last league fixture, while Pakistan will face England in their last game of the round-robin round.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Sidharth Gulati, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer brought you all the live-action of this entertaining fixture. A special mention to Yashaswee Raman, who gave important updates sitting at the venue. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!

This is how the points table looks like now 👇👇
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "When we came out to bat, we were confident about our chances. I told Fakhar (Zaman) to hang around for 15 overs, and we'll be ahead. Fakhar and I stitched a solid partnership. Fakhar was literally batting on a different wicket. We were aware that there was a short boundary, and we utilized it. We just want to give our best. Unfortunately, we couldn't do well in some games. Hopefully, we'll carry the momentum to our next fixture."
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah. Look obviously, a good first half but the weather plays a part but can't take anything away from Pakistan's top-order. Fakhar played a fantastic knock and the ground was not big enough for him. For us, it will be about taking positives from this game and moving forward.

They played exceptionally well. They gave themselves every chance and they finished on the winning side. They were on target in the chase. It would have been good if we had a full 50 overs game but we have to move on quickly. It was hard to shut the short side against him.

Yeah. Sort of. We would have gotten 450 actually. The surface was good and it's hard on the bowlers. Rachin again. He's batting beautifully and we can hope that he continues. There are small margins with the ball. You could take the short boundary out and break the left-hand and right-hand combination but they played well and came out on top."
