So, that is it from this clash of the 2023 Caribbean Premier League. Jamaica Tallawahs displace the Barbados Royals due to a healthier net run rate and find themselves in the fourth position. Nothing much to gain for the Patriots barring Yannic Cariah's half-century.

So, this is Arijit Kundu signing off along with co-commentators, Soumarya Dutta and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned to the network for more such cricketing action. Adios!!
Brandon King, Jamaica Tallawahs Captain - I went and got some treatment. The bowling has been good in general and today it was outstanding. Wasim and Allen are two really positive guys and their role is to go out and finish off the games for us. If one goes out early, the other does the job. Springer has been superb for us and hopefully he can keep up his great form. We have a must win game ahead of us and hopefully we can win that and qualify.
Evin Lewis , St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Captain  - It was a tough game with the bat and we couldn't perform according to our expectations and we need to move on. It was pretty tough with the ball at the back end. Oshane Thomas has been pretty good at the back end in tournament generally and today was one off day for him. Cariah has been outstanding today and he was been really useful for us with the bat in hand. It's been a tough tournament and we haven't managed to do our best.
Shamar Springer, Player of the match - " I knew that I wasn't going to start early on in the tournament but I always kept myself mentally ready. It was about getting into the rhythm today and setting the tempo. I guess I got a bit lucky. I feel a 100 percent fit right now. Will go to the pool, get a massage and get the body going. A few people asked me to do the celebration, back at home and around here and I decided to go ahead with it
11:03 PM IST, 13:33 Local Time: Mohammad Amir finishes off with a four-for; 3.3-0-19-4, his best figures in the CPL. The Tallawahs are still in the race for qualification and grab two crucial points to equal the tally with the Barbados Royals.

Arriving for a chase of 179 runs target, the Patriots failed to get a good start, The powerplay was completely dominated by the bowlers where Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim extracted a wicket each.

Yannic Cariah was surprisingly promoted to the no. 4 position but fell short of support. Will Smeed and Corbin Bosch hung around him for a while but mounted up the pressure by not being able to find the timely boundaries. Ultimately, wickets kept tumbling from the other end as the spinners of Jamaica kept things tight and mixed them well.

Cariah did find his maiden half-century in the CPL but was removed by Ami at the start of the 18th over. Although Amir failed to get the hat-trick, he managed to clear the cutter in quick succession to hand over a victory to his side by a margin of 59 runs.

Earlier, the Jamaica Tallawahs piled up 178 runs in the first innings after being in a precarious position of 107-6 in 15.1 overs. The start wasn’t a good one as the Tallawahs lost Brandon King and Kirk McKenzie early inside the powerplay. It was Ashmead Nedd’s outing in the powerplay who removed the two and followed it with some dance moves. Alex Hales failed to put up a show and followed them after the powerplay. Soon they found wickets toppling on regular occasions.

The bowlers of St Kitts & Nevis spilled a lot of extras which let the momentum go towards the Tallawahs at the slog-overs phase. Shamar Springer (38 off 27) was anchoring the innings despite the adversities and Fabien Allen (33* off 18) busted with some outrageous shots that pushed the scoreboard to a fighting total.
Ashmead Nedd is injured and therefore won't come out to bat. So that means a victory for the Jamaica Tallawahs.
17.3 M Amir to O Thomas
W OUT! This time Amir gets his man! It was full and it was the toe crusher. It would have been too good for anybody let alone a number 10. Thomas doesn't get his bat down on time and it crashes into the stumps. It will also be the game for the Tallawahs as Ashmead Nedd is injured and he won't be coming out to bat. This is a superb win for the Tallahwahs and they've kept their hopes alive for qualification.
17.2 M Amir to O Thomas
0 Doesn't get the Hattrick! It was full and right in the block hole. Thomas just about escapes courtesy the rub of the green.
Hat-trick chance for Amir.
Oshane Thomas strolls out in the middle. Some free-hits for him.

Back-to-back catches for Raymon Reifer. And this time it is the set-batter, Yannic Cariah.
17.1 M Amir to Y Cariah
W OUT! Amir gets the huge wicket of Cariah! It was slower and outside the off stump. The batter looked to go on the up over the off side and he didn't get hold of it. It was a leading edge and Cariah didn't clear the in field.  Reifer held on to it in the deep. A fighting innings from the left hander has come to an end here.
Sheldon Cottrell walks out in the middle.
