Suryakumar Yadav(Player of the Match): " Oh.. yeah, I loved it. Much needed and it was important for the team too. I am very happy to win a home game like this. Absolutely they came up with the plan here, they were bowling slow and they were not giving the pace.
I just had a talk with Nehal, if they bowl slower ones let them do that, we will just hit the ball hard in the gaps and collect doubles and singles and convert them. I mean, your practice has to be the same, as you do in the match. I do the same in practice as we do in the match. Yeah, we have an open-net session, so I imagine the field and get out of my comfort zone. I know my game and I don't do anything different"

Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians Captain):"I said at the toss its a good pitch to bat on. You just keep backing yourself to play those shots and all those 4 guys played pretty well.
Akash was with us last year as well and we saw the skillset he brings and all we wanted to do is give him that specific role so that his focus is on that and we told him that this is what you have to do. I know these are tough overs to bowl but he is quite confident. When I speak to him, the responses that I get from him, he's quite confident. He leads his Uttarakhand team so he's got lot of knowledge on how he wants to bowl, what sort of field placement he needs to have. Was crucial what we did at the backend to restrict them at less than 200. At one stage it was looking 220, something like that.
Last 4 games has been played here and excess of 200 has been scored. That's the nature of ground, the pitch and what I got to see this year from all the teams is that they're taking lot of risks and its coming off. That's how T20 cricket should be played as well. Times have changed. You got to keep playing those shots, keep taking those risks and that's what the batters are doing and that's why we are seeing lot of 200s being scored this tournament."
