Milestone
RCB manage to keep all of us on the edge of our seat every time they step onto the field. It doesn't matter whether the opposition is halfway back in the hut earlier or not, it always goes down the wire when another side is RCB. At the end of all, RCB have held their nerve to eke out two points but don't take anything away from Jitesh Sharma. Join us in the second game of the doubleheader between DC and KKR at Delhi which is delayed due to bad weather at the moment.

For now, this is me Arijit Kundu signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Ninaad Dixit, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action from this enthralling contest. Let's meet in the next game. Until then it's cheers!
Mohammed Siraj (Player of the Match): "I missed my length on the first ball and bowled a bit short. I got some swing so thought of pitching it a bit up. If I pick a wicket in the powerplay then I will set the tone for the future matches as the opposition team gets under pressure.

The lockdown was most important for me because my performances went down before that. I thought it as my last year and gave my best in the lockdown. I worked hard in the gym and focused on my bowling which made me confident in the next IPL.

I have recently played one-day internationals so feeling myself in a good rhythm. The ball is leaving the wrists well. My confidence is very high.

I am an excellent fielder sometimes I do misfield.

I want to improve in every facet of the game because I don't want to lose my place in the team for not being able to do this or that so I want to improve in every facet of the game."
Mohammed Siraj is the player of the match and also gets the Purple Cap.
Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain): "Yeah, exactly that's what I said earlier. This result doesn't make us an invincible team and the results before this game doesn't make us a bad team. The table doesn't define your mood. It's towards games 12-13 that decides where we are.

We assessed the conditions really well. The conditions changed drastically in the first half. I think Faf batted outstandingly in the first innings. The way he batted helped us add 20-30 extra runs to the total. We had to spend some extra time since we weren't batting deep.

I felt the wicket underneath was rough. As soon as the 7-8 over was done, the ball was going bashed through the square, and the ball was getting scuffed up. I think there was not enough water there as the pitch stays shiny if it is done well. There were hardly any sixes hit off the back foot against the spinners. Even off the seamers, the ball wasn't going well.

Had we stayed in we had a chance to give a crack towards 190 or 200. At the end, it was a good job to get 175. I told the bowlers to keep your chest high, keep your heads high and tell that you can take the wickets here.  Cannot afford to take the game deep when they are 6-7 wickets down. Most of the teams bat deep but we had options for the ball. 25 runs give you good enough margins of boost to your run rate.

At the halfway stage of the game, the thought was to set the intensity to the opposition and you kinda break the game open when you take four wickets in the powerplay as well. I think you cannot break the game one end as well, We just need to be present out there and take the game."
