Wanindu Hasaranga (Kandy Falcons Captain): "We have won 4 games. The boys are doing really well. Chamindu bowled really well. He is a backup to our injured players and did really well. We have a good bunch and we can change our team anytime. He is a good option."
Dasun Shanaka (Dambulla AURA Captain): "Its so embarrassing to see this poor performance with the bat and ball. We should try to do far better in all three aspects and make sure to win the next games. Bowlers aren't bowling well and the batters are not taking the responsibility. We are all established players and need to take some responsibility."
Kamindu Mendis: "Pathum and I made a brilliant partnership. I just had to rotate the strike and build the partnership with Fletcher. We wanted to score 170/175 and thought we had got a good score."

Carlos Brathwaite:" I don't know, I am really enjoying bowling here. I have been bowling on good lengths and have been rewarded for that. I don't know about Fletcher's injury though, lets's hope that it's not anything major. Good to be back on the winning track."
Dambulla AURA's woes at the Lanka Premier League 2022 continue as they slump to a 77 run defeat against the Kandy Falcons, their fourth in four games. The Kandy Falcons won the toss and elected to bat first with their openers Andre Fletcher and Pathum Nissanka setting them off with a flier.
Fletcher also became the highest run scorer in this season with 44 off 31 deliveries and was brilliant behind the stumps before walking off the field. Everyone in the Kandy batting order played their role to perfection with number 3 Kamindu Mendis scoring 58 off 40. Ashen Bandara finished unbeaten with 42 in 22 deliveries and Najibullah Zadran played a cameo in the later part of the innings with 16 off 8 deliveries.
Chaturanga de Silva and Pramod Madushan were the only wicket takers for the Dambulla AURA with Noor Ahmad and Paul van Meekeren bowling some tidy overs. The AURA batters got a poor start losing half their side in the powerplay itself.
Chamika Karunaratne removed both the openers in the third over of the innings and Carlos Brathwaite picked the rest of the 3 wickets including 2 on consecutive deliveries to peg back the AURA batting order. Young gun Chamindu Wijesinghe bowled a terrific spell in the middle overs and finished with 3 wickets of his own.
Chaturanga de Silva played a cameo innings off 25 in 15 balls but it wasn't enough as there was no support from the other end and from the top and middle order of the AURA lineup. Fabian Allen and the other West Indies players had a good outing in the field as he finished with 2/5 in 1.2 overs also taking a good catch to take the Falcons to victory.
