That concludes the presentation ceremony and that's it from our coverage of the 10th fixture of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 between Pakistan Women and Thailand Women from Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Tune in for the 11th fixture between Bangladesh and Malaysia, which will begin shortly. See you there!
Nattakan Chantam | Player of the Match: "I just enjoyed my game. I wanted to hit hard and complete the game. I played according to the situation and luckily things went in favor of me. I have worked hard after the first two games and I just wanted to finish the game for my team today.”
Naruemol Chaiwai | Thailand Skipper: “Pakistan is a strong side and we are happy to defeat them. Infact, we want to defeat every team but at the moment we just want to enjoy the win. I think in the last couple of games we did not bowl correct lengths, but today we were on point and we are happy to get past the line.”
Bismah Maroof | Pakistan Skipper: "Quite disappointed. With the way we batted, it was disappointing. The batters failed to score at a good rate despite getting set. They could have batted with more intent. I feel 130+ would have been a good total on the board and I’m not happy with our performance. We didn't bowl Kainat in the middle overs. It would have been different if we had bowled her more."
11:30 AM IST | THAILAND, YOU BEAUTY! A huge upset here as a stupendous effort from the Thailand Women have knocked over Pakistan Women by 4 wickets. Thailand, who also defeated Sri Lanka in the previous edition of the Asia Cup, has performed yet another miracle to defeat Pakistan and they are elated here. The players are sprinting out in the middle and it is a historic day for Thailand in the books of cricket.

In pursuit of a below-par total of 117, Thailand Women started on an electrifying note and stitched 30 out of the powerplay without losing any wickets. Nannapat Koncharoenkai and  Nattakan Chantam, the Thailand openers took charge early on and pushed Pakistan on the back foot. Chantam played the aggressor while Koncharoenkai was playing the second fiddle.

Thailand was cruising towards a historic victory before Tuba Hassan attained two breakthroughs in the 9th over and shifted the pendulum back to Pakistan. The leg-break bowler first ended the 40-run opening stand by outfoxing unhurried Koncharoenkai 13(24) and then followed by the wicket of Chanida Sutthiruang.

However, Chantam kept marching on and smashed an outstanding half-century. The right-hander bagged 61(51), including 5 fours and 2 maximums. Thailand constantly kept losing wickets from one end and they required 10 of the last over when Diana Gaig came to bowl the last over. In the end, it was the heroics of Kanoh and Boochatham that handed Thailand a historic victory.  Stick around for the post-match presentation!

This is the first time Thailand Women have successfully chased anything above 100 in T20Is.
19.5 D Baig to N Boochatham
1 In the air and safe. Boochatham clears the inner circle and takes her side across the line. Absolute mad scenes in the Thai camp. The players rush out onto the field as they create an upset here by beating Pakistan Women. The biggest win in their history so far. Coming to the ball, this was a length delivery around off, Boochatham slogs it over mid wicket and collects a single. With this, Thailand Women beat Pakistan Women by four wickets.

19.4 D Baig to R Kanoh
1 One run and the scores are level. Good length delivery outside off, Kanoh drives it towards mid off and hurries down the other end. Dar has a shy at the non-striker's end but misses. 1 off 1 now.
19.3 D Baig to R Kanoh
2 Length delivery on the stumps, Kanoh swings hard at it and gets an inside edge past short fine leg for a couple of runs. Kanoh scampers back for the second and brings down the equation to 2 off 3 now.
