8:00 AM IST | Deepak: From 49 for 3 to winning the game by 4 wickets, what a comeback this has been from the  Brisbane Heat women! A swashbuckling inning from Laura Harris has helped her side seal the deal by four wickets.

The Hobart Hurricanes scored 164 runs earlier after being given the opportunity to bat first, but they did so at a cost of seven wickets. They bounced back well after battling to 50 runs for the loss of four wickets in 8.4 overs. However, Mignon du Preez's swashbuckling inning, in which she hit 73 runs off 54 balls and finished as the Hurricanes' leading scorer, propelled the team over 160 runs. On the other hand, Nicola Hancock was the pick of the bowlers for the Heat, as she scalped 4 wickets in her allotted 4 overs.

In response to 164 runs, the Brisbane Heat Women didnโ€™t get the desired start as they lost Danielle Wyatt in the second over of the inning, she departed after scoring 8 runs off 6 balls. Georgia Redmayne and Georgia Voll started building a partnership, but the duo was able to add only 33 runs for the second wicket. Georgia Voll departed after scoring 17 runs off 14 balls and was soon followed by Georgia Redmayne, who departed after scoring 16 runs off 19 balls. Heat were struggling with 49 runs on the board at the loss of three wickets in 7.2 overs.

Amelia Kerr and Laura Harris assumed control of the middle-order batting and got things going quickly. As Amelia Kerr left the game after hitting 41 runs off 33 balls, the two created a partnership of 87 runs for the fifth wicket. Laura Harris led her team to victory with a brilliant 65 runs off 29 balls,๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ remaining unblemished the entire game.

On the flip side, Maisy Gibson and Molly Strano shared a couple of wickets each, and Nicola Carey picked up one wicket.
