18.52 IST: Band-e-Amir Dragons have pulled off a magnificent victory by 9 wickets and now with six points in their bank they have moved to fourth place in the points table. On the other hand, Pamir Zalmi has lost the sixth consecutive game (yet to win a game in the tournament).
Batting first Zlami had posted 159/5 in their 20 overs with Fazal Zazai(53), Mohammadullah(47), and Ghamai Zadran(36 off 26). It seemed a bit under par considering the start and momentum they had. But after that, we all witnessed a very unfortunate scene.
A bomb blast was reported near the Kabul International Stadium. Fans got scared and started leaving the stadium and we had around 1 hour of halt.
After the unwanted incident, Dragons got the revised target of 91 runs in 10 overs which looked a bit tough considering the circumstances and the bowling attack of Zalmi. However, a dazzling start from their openers changed the scenario in no time for the Dragons. They came with clear intentions and smacked Zalmi bowlers all over the park. Just when they were cruising in the chase, unfortunately, opener Imran Mir(26 off 16 balls) got run out. Though it couldn't stop the duo of Karim Janat (30 off 16 balls) and Farmanuallah Safi (34 off 14 balls) from making this chase a cakewalk, they chased down 95 runs in just 7.1 overs.
