That's it that's the game for the Western Province. They beat North West Dragons by the convincing margin of 84 runs and with that they will collect another bonus point. This was an absolute clinical performance from the Western as they were in total control of the second innings from over number 1. Hendricks was the star with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets in his 4 overs spell. Junaid Dawood was also brilliant with his leg-spin as he picked up 3 wickets and knocked over the middle order in no time.
Chasing 165 the things didn't go Dragons way as they lost the wicket of Muthusamy in the very first over. As he slices the short of a length delivery straight into the hands of the third man of the bowling of Hendricks. He departed without troubling the scorers. Wesley Marshall the other opener looked classical for his 15 but he can't continue with that as he was dismissed by Hendricks.
Nicky Van in at number 3 departed on the duck while he went edging the away swinger off the bowling of Parnell. Tahir Isaacs soon followed him as he was cleaned up by Hendricks on duck. Delano Potgieter scored 1 run from 6 balls before chipping that one straight into the hands of Parnell at mid-off. Dwaine Pretorius was dismissed by Dawood on the score of 14 while he missed out on the sweep and was found plumb in front of the wickets.
The rest of the lower order was blown away by the Mpongwana as they were bowled out on the score of 80. Earlier in the day, Parnell played a blinder of a knock at the end of the innings and propelled them to the score of 164. All and all a great all-around performance from the Western Province to seal the victory here.
W Short and banged into the wicket, Seleka tries to pull the ball but just manages to get a top edge. Kaplan takes an easy catch and Mpongwana gets the final wicket.
