Well...Congratulations to Hampshire for getting their first win. That's it we have for today. I am Dhanush signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Karthik and Saptak and scorer Paras. Good Night! Take Care!
Tim Seifert, Man of the Match: It is disappointing to lose the game. Credit to them, they bowled very well at the top. Sometimes in T20, anything can happen in the end but we fell short. I thought their total was above par. However, we have got a good team and it only takes a couple of partnerships. Didn't happen today as we lost too many wickets early on.
Ravi Bopara: If you don't pick wickets in the Powerplay, it is going to be struggle. They played well, credits to them. 20 too many, really hurt us. This loss is not going to knock back us too much. We had won three on the bounce and lost today while Hampshire smashed us today after losing four consecutive matches. T20 cricket is unpredictable
James Vince: They came back well and showed if you hit the right areas, can restrict the batsmen. (On Ben McDermott) He has shown glimpses of what he can do and the sort of power he has. The first game against Middlesex, we played some good cricket. The others, we were outplayed
Finally! After 4 back to back defeats, Hampshire finally win their first match as they beat Sussex by 22 runs. The home team were on the mark from the very first ball in the first innings. A amazing 100+ opening partnership from Vince and McDermott. They set up the side for a big total. The middle order did not fire much. Toby Albert finished off in style as Hampshire finish at 199 in 20 overs. The Sussex were never in the match while batting. They scored just 58 runs in 10 overs. Wright, Orr, Bopara all scored single digits hampering the chase. Tim Seifert stuck in their at one end. He took his time to get set. But, the match was over by the time he started smacking. He finished off well with a magnificent century. Overall, it was too many in the end for Sussex as they lose this game by 23 runs. Nathan Ellis, Chris Wood and Scott Currie looked good with the ball helping Hampshire win their first match.

6 HAT-TRICK OF SIXES!! Full on the stumps, Seifert slogs it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. SIX!! This has been stunning acceleration from the keeper-batsman! It also brings up a valiant hundred!
