Bhanuka Rajapaksa: "I always thought this was not an easy wicket to bat. I would say 15-20 runs short especially after the start we got but credit to the bowlers. The initial plan was to take wickets but they batted well and at the end of the day, we kept them under pressure. Amir and all the others are doing well."

The Galle Gladiators get the crucial 2 points here as they notch up a close 9 run win over the Dambulla Giants here in Colombo. The Giants were ahead of this chase till Over Number 11 but those two wickets by Samit Patel sealed the deal and turned it around for the Gladiators. With this win, the Gladiators also qualify for the Playoffs alongside the Giants and Kings.
