Babar Azam | Pakistan skipper: (In his local language- Hindi)"Yes Quite happy with the way we batted, specially the momentum we carried on. Haider played really well, carried the innings well. I also believe that Nawaz did a great job, surreal to be honest at the toe end of the innings.. I think the bowlers were really good. Shadab, Wasim was spot on with the ball, Nawaz was superb in the field. We will sit back and decide on what combinations we can go with tomorrow."
Nicholas Pooran | West Indies skipper: "200 was a very good total and I thought we gave away too much in the end. But you can't do anything as there were eight boundaries off the edge of the bat. We could have chased it but fell short in the end. We are all professionals and we know how to come back. We will have conversations and get back stronger tomorrow. We did pick wickets at the start and we will look to come out harder tomorrow. We will plan accordingly and try to execute those."
Haider Ali (Player of the Match):- "I will rate this 10 out of 10 in my innings. The way I was supported by Rizwan helped me sail through the innings. The pitch was a tad difficult with spinners getting purchase loads of it. But the way Rizwan batted and guided me helped me sail through the tide. I can bat at the top order but I would like to bat according to the team's needs. Whatever the team wants I will do it. "

Akshay: Another comprehensive performance from Pakistan as they
defeat West Indies by 63 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the series. They have been
brilliant in the shortest format in recent times and they continue their dominance
by beating West Indies comprehensively. With this win, Pakistan becomes the first team to win 18 T20Is in a calendar year, breaking their own record of 17 wins.
The total of 201 was always going to be difficult and with
the quality of bowling attack that Pakistan possesses, it was an uphill task
ahead of the visitors. Brandon King was dismissed in the second over by
Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr. sent back Pooran and Thomas by sizzling
yorkers as the West Indies were reeling at 46/3 at the end of the powerplay.
Shai Hope looked to resurrect the innings but they kept losing wickets at
regular intervals.
Shadab Khan wreaked havoc in the West Indies camp as he
picked up three wickets, giving away only 17 runs in his four overs. Mohammad
Wasim Jr. was sensational and he finished with four wickets. The West Indies’
batters couldn’t counter the spin in the middle overs and kept falling short of
the required run rate. Romario Shepherd and Odean Smith hit some lusty blows in
the end but they eventually fell short by 63 runs.
Earlier, Nicholas Pooran won the toss and opted to bowl first. They had a good start as they dismissed Babar Azam on duck in the very first over. Fakhar Zaman was removed in the fifth over for 10. Haider Ali joined Mohammad Rizwan and they meant business. Both put 105 between them as they laid the foundation for the hosts to finish on a high. Rizwan departed on 78 and Haider on 68 but a late surge from Mohammad Nawaz (30 runs off 10 balls) powered them to 200. Every West Indies bowler picked up at least a wicket but was expensive. In the end, the target was too high for the visitors as the hosts take a 1-0 lead in the series.

The cork beats the blades and rocks into the timbers to bundle West Indies for 137. Oshane Thomas seemed nowhere near the line of the ball.
