Smriti Mandhana has been awarded the Player of the Match award for her unbeaten 114 which was laced with 14 fours and 3 sixes. It may not have been enough to give her side a win, but definitely, enough to win her the Player of the Match Award.
WOW, What a game of cricket. I do not know where to start. Smriti Mandhana kept her team in the hunt till the very end but in the end, it was Harmanpreet Kaur who held her nerve in the final over to win the game for Renegades by 4 runs and help them go top of the table. Heartbreak for Thunder tonight. They are out of the tournament now.
An unbeaten 114 off 64 balls in the chase of 176 was still not enough for Thunder to get over the line. Lack of support from the other end hampered their chances big time. Tahlia Wilson's 39 ball 38 was strange and helped Renegades win I think. It was spin to win for Renegades as all the spinners from Molineux to Kaur and Hayward kept the runs down while the pacers went for runs. Holly Ferling going for 24 in an over and dropping catches under pressure was another thing to note.

It was a delight to watch for the Indian captain in full flow with the bat and the ball. Mandhana was special and she was really heartbroken in the end. She was almost in tears. A great day if you are an Indian cricket fan as the captain and vice-captain shone in full flow.

1 Harmanpreet Kaur wins it for the Renegades! Drags back her length and offers no pace on this occasion. Pushed wide outside the off stump. Mandhana charges down the pitch but can only put this away towards the deep mid wicket fielder for a single. With another loss, Thunder are out of the reckoning for a spot in the semi finals. Renegades move to the top of the table.
