It was a very good comeback by the Indian team who looked down and out the first innings, but the bowlers got them back in the game. A tremendous job by the Indian bowlers today.
India have taken a lead of 2-0 in the series with one match to go. That's it from us, I am Ovaise signing off along with my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and Akshay Bhide.
Do join us for the third and final ODI.
Man of the match I Prasidh Krishna: I have been striving hard to do this for a long time. So, I am very happy that we won. I was still looking to hit the good areas. When I came in to bat, I knew it was still seaming. I would have laughed it off (If someone would have told him he would finish with the figures he ended with today). I had seen the wicket in the last game. Experimenting wasn't possible as there was not much to defend. So, I stuck to good lines. Be as consistent as possible. The white ball cricket is a power game.
Rohit Sharma | Winning Captain: "I mean obvoiusly winning the series is a good feeling. There were some challenges when we were batting. KL and Surya's partnership showed good maturity. We got to a respectable total towards the end to give us a fighting chance. We were outstanding with the ball, everyone came together to bowl as a unit. It's important for Surya and Deepak Hooda to play these kind of knocks but its important for their confidence. Hooda needed to take his time and understand what the team wants rather than what he wants. Good knock from KL too, he has been up and down the innings which is not easy. I've been asked to do different things (Pant opening), this was something different and we wanted to try it out. Shikhar will come back in the next game and its important to give him time as well. We don't mind losing a game here and there to try new things keeping the World Cup in mind. We'll see if we can get some guys in, to give them game time. It's important for them to have some time in the middle. I was surprised to not see dew in the second innings. Prasidh was outstanding, haven't seen a spell like that in a long long time in India. He bowled with skills, pace and kept the pressure going. The others complimented him well. We can learn a lot from this game and move forward. It is always that calculation you have to do, I wanted some pace towards the backend of the game. We rotated the bowlers really well, a lot of the guys helped on the ground with it. When you're playing with 5 bowlers and Hooda as 6th we always need to keep rotating. It was good to come out and adapt to the situation today."
Odean Smith wins Hyundai Alcazar Grand Sixes of the Match.
Suryakumar Yadav is the Dream11 GameChanger of the Match.
ACC Kamaal Ka Moment goes to Deepak Hooda.
Nicholas Pooran | Losing Captain:"I thought we lost the match in the second innings. We didn't bat well and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Smith hit some lusty blows in the end but it was too much to do. Kieron Pollard is a tough guy and he should be fit for the final game. Odean Smith is a special player. He is a tough guy and bowls at a good pace. He is a strong guy and hits a long ball. He is inexperienced and will gain it by playing more matches. We will look to come out hard in the final game and put some partnerships with the bat."
Time for the presentation.
Shardul Thakur:"Smith played good shots and with dew coming in, the ball was coming nicely onto the bat and we had to execute our plans against him. Our pacers did well and the plan was to pick wickets early. Rohit also was thinking of attacking right from the start. The West Indies bowlers did bowl some short balls and that was our strategy against them. The surface is good and hopefully, we get the same surface for the final game of the series."
