It has been a clinical performance by the Thunders on the night. They have been spot on with both bat and ball. They scored big in the first innings and then managed to bowl them out for 80 runs and ended up winnings by 129 runs.
Melbourne Renegades won the toss and decided to bowl first, they got an early wicket in Gilkes but post the early success, things didn't go as planned. Alex Hales kept thrashing them all parts of the ground. He ended up scoring 63 runs off 28 balls. Alex was joined by Daniel Sams, who took matters into his own hands and helped the Thunders put on a score of over 200 runs. He remained not out on 98* (44 balls). They ended at 209 for 7 in their 20 overs.
Renegades on the other hand didn't have a favourable start to their innings, Sandhu and Hasnain crippled their batting order with five early wickets in the powerplay itself. Seymour and Richardson tried to stabilize the inning for their side, but we're sent packing by the Thunders before they could pull the game for their side.
Renegades were bowled out for 80 runs in 14.2 overs and the Thunders won by 129 runs. A much-deserved victory based on their overall performance today.
W Wickett!! Full toss and on off peg line. Zahir Khan moves away on the leg side to play at it. Was pacey. Khan fails to put any bat on it as the off peg gets rattled. Five wins in a row now for the Thunders. They beat the grappling Renegades by a huge margin off 129 runs.
W Wickett!! Full, straight, pacey. A yorker on middle, Seymour has no answers for this one as he misses it completely. Ball hits middle peg as Hasnain celebrates. Nine down now the Renegades.
