That's it from the comm box. It was a pleasure bringing the live coverage for you all. This is me, Arjun Bhalla signing off on behalf of my fellow commentator Arijit Kundu. Do join us tomorrow in our ball-by-ball commentary of the Super50 Cup. Till then, ta-da!!
Arjun: With this win, the Jamaica Scorpions is again in the haunt. Rovman Powell's men would need a win in their last game and they can fancy their chances for the knockouts, on the other hand, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes have been koed out the Super50 Cup!
Arjun: The Jamaica Scorpions have pulled off some magic out of their bag and they have thrashed the Hurricanes!! It all started in the first innings when the Leeward Islands let Fabian Allen stitch an 85-run partnership with the number 11 Jeavor Royal and the Hurricanes got a target of 221 runs, which was under par, but it gave the Scorpions something to fight and what a sizzling fight they put on!!! The chase did not start nicely for the Hurricanes as they lost Ross Powell at the score of 11 runs and then Kieran Powell in the 12th over. Keacy Carty followed the openers and the scoreboard read 72/3 in the 19th over. Then, the well-composed pair of Nitish Kumar and Devon Thomas showed some resistance and scored 64 runs in between them before Kumar gifted his wicket on a nothing shot!! Then came the rain showers, which made things more strugglesome for the batting side. After the break, they started losing a wicket after the other. They were seven down and the equation was at 40 runs from the last four overs and Colin Archibald showed the Hurricanes some glitter. Colin smoked three Sixes but the number eight batter could not last long and fell on the skipper Rovman Powell's gamble. In the end, the Leeward Islands lost by six runs (DLS Method).
