So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Arjun Bhalla. Stay tuned to OneCricket's coverage of the remainder of the BBL
Josh Philippe: The plan was always to try to take it on in the first four overs and then read the situation of the game and take it as deep as possible. They got off to an absolute flyer so when we came out to bat, we wanted to take advantage and get ahead of the rate. I just feel super relaxed at the moment and that's when I play my best cricket, when I'm calm and relaxed. There's always a few nerves, especially against my old mates at the Scorchers but I try to stay calm. James Vince is a very calm man so it was very nice tonight to see him get back into form.
Comments from the Man of the Match:
There was a slight stutter as both Philippe and Vince fell in consecutive overs as the equation changed to 16 off 17 balls but the experienced duo of Daniel Hughes and Daniel Christian saw through the chase. This win takes the Sixers to eight wins from 11 as they solidify the top spot.
What a professional batting effort from the Sixers. Justin Avendano fell in the sixth over after a scrappy knock but Josh Philippe marshalled the innings from the very beginning. No.3 batsman James Vince didn't start well but he came back into form as the innings progressed. The duo started to target the trio of Andrew Tye, Aaron Hardie and Fawad Ahmed as Sixers got into a dominant position. Both Philippe and Vince got to their half-centuries with the latter going onto make 84 off 52 balls.
18.5 Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes
2 Yorker on the leg-stump, Hughes flicks it to fine-leg for two runs. With that, Sixers wrap up a seven-wicket win with seven balls to spare
