Milestone
A clinical performance from Faisalabad Region as they win the game by six wickets and register their first victory of the season. Meanwhile, Bahawalpur Region are still searching for their opening victory of this year's National T20 Cup 2026.

This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Deepak Prakash and Tarun. A special thanks to our scorer/analyst, Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Switch your tabs for the second game of the day between Karachi Region Whites and Peshawar Region, which will start in some time. Till then, cheers.
Irfan Khan Niazi (Faisalabad Region Captain): " Not 100 percent satisfied with the way the team has played but really happy to get the win. We need to work hard on our fielding and batting at the top. The team combination was good and the way we won at the end is a good thing heading into the business end of the tournament. In the last few games, we lacked runs at the top and with Atiq firing at least one box is ticked."
Muhammad Imran Randhawa (Bahawalpur Region Captain): "Awais and Atiq batted really well, while our bowling and fielding were a bit disappointing. We dropped Atiq on zero in the first over, which proved costly. Also, we were 20–25 runs short with the bat, and that is why we lost the game. We will try to work on our weaknesses in the next match."

Time for the post-match presentation...
9:00 PM IST, 8:30 PM Local Time: Faisalabad Region win it comprehensively by six wickets. They finish the chase with more than two overs remaining. They have registered their first win of the season. Meanwhile, Bahawalpur Region are yet to open their account on the points table as they have registered their second successive defeat.

Electing to bat first, Bahawalpur Region were all out for 158 in 19.5 overs. Despite having a good powerplay, the side failed to capitalise it and couldn't score big, especially in the death overs. Opener Faizan Zafar top-scored with 36 off 27 balls but five Bahawalpur batters were dismissed for single-digit scores.

Faisalabad's slingy seamer, Zaman Khan, did the most of the damage as he delivered picture-perfect yorkers, especially in the 20th over. Zaman ended with figures of 3/30, while Afaq Afridi and Momin Qamar took two scalps apiece.

In reply, Faisalabad lost an early wicket in the form of opener Muhammad Faizan (5). They immediately lost the number 3 batter, Asim Ali Nasir, who departed for 2. Bahawalpur seamers were excellent with the new ball and didn't give away free runs. But even after generating a lot of swing, they failed to pick up wickets in clusters.

Later, once the ball lost its shine, opener Atiq-ur-Rehman started playing his shots and stitched a 93-run stand for the second wicket with Awaiz Zafar (25) before taking the game away from the reach of the Bahawalpur Region.

Atiq missed out on a ton and got dismissed at the fag-end of the chase for 94 off 51 balls.

Bahawalpur pacer Mohammad Basit was excellent with the ball and took 3/23. However, he didn't get enough support from his fellow bowlers.

6 SIX!!! A maximum to wrap things up from Irfan. Tossed up, around middle and leg, Niazi jumps down the track and flicks this up and over the fence towards the long on region for a huge six.  Faisalabad win this contest by 6 wickets.

1 Pushed through on off, Asif rocks back and punches this through extra cover for one more.
