Player Bio

Hailing from Punjab, Ramandeep Singh is one of the latest recruiters of the Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2022. However, the best of Ramandeep was seen for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024.

Ramandeep, born on April 13, 1997, made his T20 debut for Punjab against Haryana in the 2016-17 Inter-State T20 Tournament.

It took a few years of grind for the Punjab-based cricketer to make his List-A debut. However, the talented bloke made his debut for Punjab against Vidarbha in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, and in the same season, he made his First-Class debut in the Ranji Trophy.

Ramandeep’s heroics for the Mohali U-16 team brought him into the limelight after scoring two centuries in the 2021 Punjab Inter-District Championship.

The batting all-rounder is renowned for his big-hitting abilities and slowly made his way through age-group cricket, scoring runs for fun.

Ramandeep Singh IPL Career

In 2022, Ramandeep Singh began his IPL journey with the Mumbai Indians. However, it was with the Kolkata Knight Riders where the Chandigarh-born truly made his mark. Notably, in KKR’s IPL 2024 winning campaign, the all-rounder played a crucial finishing role, striking at an exceptional 201.61 and consistently delivering quick runs in pressure situations.

That breakout season earned him a maiden India call-up, during which he featured in two T20Is against South Africa in December 2024. Recognising his value, KKR retained him ahead of the 2025 auction.

While he couldn’t quite replicate his 2024 returns, Ramandeep has remained in the national radar through consistent appearances for India A, and he will be a key aspect of the KKR squad again in 2026.
