Mukesh Choudhary Domestic Career

Mukesh Choudhary has been a mainstay in the Maharashtra bowling attack for several seasons. He made his First-Class debut during the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy against Railways, quickly proving his worth by accumulating 33 wickets at that level. His List A debut followed in October 2019 during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

However, it is in the shortest format where he has truly shone. Making his T20 debut on November 8, 2019, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), he delivered an immediate impact with a match-winning spell of 2/10 against Railways.

He remained a consistent performer in subsequent seasons, notably pocketing 5 wickets in four matches during the SMAT 2021, solidifying his reputation as a reliable T20 specialist.

Mukesh Choudhary IPL Career

The doors to the grandest T20 stage opened for Mukesh Choudhary in February 2022, when he was signed by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. Tasked with leading the attack in the absence of senior bowlers, Choudhary rose to the occasion during the 2022 season, finishing as CSK’s leading wicket-taker with 16 scalps.

His breakout performance came against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), where he recorded his best IPL figures to date, claiming 4 wickets for 46 runs. His ability to pick up wickets in the Powerplay made him a favourite under the leadership of MS Dhoni, marking him as one of the most promising left-arm pacers in the tournament's recent history.
