Player Bio

In a country known more for its spin and batting talent, Khuzaima Bin Tanveer has burst onto the scene as one of the brightest fast-bowling hopes in the United Arab Emirates. The right-arm pacer, originally from Faisalabad, Pakistan, has made headlines with his raw pace and ability to strike early.

Born in 1999, Tanveer’s cricketing journey began in the bustling club circuits of Pakistan before he moved to the UAE in 2023 in search of opportunity. His early days were spent playing domestic tournaments for the Karwan Strikers, where he impressed with his pace, control, and work ethic. His performances caught the attention of selectors in the International League T20 (ILT20), leading to a dream call-up with the Desert Vipers.

Tanveer’s breakthrough came during the 2024-25 ILT20 season when he made his debut for the Vipers after spending several matches on the bench. He grabbed his chance with both hands, returning a stunning spell of four wickets for just 22 runs against the Sharjah Warriors. He will again represent the same franchise in the 2025-26 season of the ILT20 tournament.

Later in the year, he went to play for the Dubai Capitals in the Global Super League in Guyana. The pacer represents the New York Strikers franchise in the Abu Dhabi T10 league.

Since that performance, Tanveer’s reputation has grown rapidly. He counts English great James Anderson as one of his idols and often speaks about modelling his control and discipline on the veteran seamer’s approach.

Although the Pakistan-born player is yet to qualify for the UAE national selection under ICC residency rules, Tanveer’s progress suggests that he could soon become a fixture in the country’s bowling attack.
