Nigam's first-class debut came on October 11, 2024, when Uttar Pradesh faced Bengal at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In that match, he showcased his bowling prowess by taking four wickets for 81 runs, marking a notable start to his career.
