Player Bio

Maaz Sadaqat is a left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, an emerging all-rounder from Pakistan. He was born on May 15, 2005, in Peshawar, Pakistan, and eventually represented many teams including Pakistan A, Pakistan Under-19, and many more.

Peshawar, a rich cricket culture city, left no chance to influence Maaz to get attached to cricket. Maaz shined on the street and was supported by his family to pursue cricket as a profession. He soon joined a local academy and started honing his skills.

Sadaqat made his first-class debut for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Not being shy, he scored a commendable 68 runs in his debut innings, signaling his readiness for higher levels of competition.

His List-A debut was in March 2023, and claimed two wickets in his spell of 10 overs with an economy of 1.90, conceding just 19 runs.

On his T20 debut, he first appeared for Stallions against Panthers (Pakistan’s Domestic Team) at Rawalpindi Champions T20 Cup in December 2024.

Sadaqat became a domestic star, he once accelerated in his career and never looked back. He was selected by Peshawar Zalmi for the 2024 season. In his debut season, he played several key innings, including a match-winning 50 off 30 balls against Karachi Kings, which earned him the Player of the Match award.

Sadaqat represented Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, held from January 14 to February 5, 2022, in the West Indies. In Under-19 One Day Internationals (ODIs), he played 9 matches, scoring 89 runs with a highest score of 42* and an average of 22.25. Additionally, he took 6 catches during these matches.

Maaz Sadaqat's cricketing journey is in its early stages. His performances in domestic cricket and the PSL have positioned him as a promising talent for national selection. His solid technique and an array of strokes, allow him to adapt to different formats seamlessly. His left-arm spin adds a strategic dimension to his game, enabling him to contribute in multiple facets.
