A right-arm medium pacer, Jan-Izak de Villiers is a professional cricketer for the Namibian national team who was a part of the U-19 squad for the 2018 ICC World Cup before playing age-group cricket for Namibia U-15s.
After his U-19 exploits, Jan-Izak was named in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division but didn’t get an opportunity to make his debut. Travelling with the squad for over two years, he finally made his international debut in an ODI fixture against UAE in January 2020.
Prior to his international debut, he was one of the three rookie players to be awarded a national contract from the Namibian cricket team and in September 2021, the 20-year old was named in Namibia’s squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup.
