Nicole Harvey, an English cricketer, performs all-rounder's duties for Somerset, Western Storm and Welsh Fire currently. Incidentally, Harvey's county debut came in 2005 while playing for the same side that her mother once represented - Cornwall.
After the 2008 season, she switched teams, moving to Devon and Nottinghamshire. Again, Harvey joined Cornwall after the 2013 season, however, eventually landed in Somerset, her current county side.
While a List A ton still eludes the 29-year-old, with 99 not-out against Durham being her best score, bowling remains her strong suit.
The Truro-born has emerged as the highest wicket-taker for Cornwall and Somerset in various seasons. Notably, she sat on top of the list of the leading wicket-takers in the 2016 T20 Cup as she claimed a total of 15 scalps in the tournament.
As fate would have it, Harvey was diagnosed with sepsis in 2020 while she was pregnant with her first child. But she fought her way out and featured in the 2021 edition of âThe Hundredâ and 2021 season of âRachael Heyhoe Flint Trophyâ for Welsh Fire and Western Storm, respectively. She emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the Storm in the 2021 Charlotte Edwards Cup.
The 29-year-old is a part of the Welsh Fire squad in the 2022 season of The Hundred.
