Player Bio

Nathan Gilchrist is a professional cricketer who plays for Kent County in England.

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Gilchrist is a right-arm fast bowler, known for his out-swingers. His father is English and as a result, Gilchrist holds a British passport which allows him to play in domestic cricket as an England player.

He joined Somerset cricket academy in 2016 and played for their second XI team. He joined Kent initially on a year-long loan deal in 2020, but then eventually signed a three-year contract extension with the club.

He eventually made his first-class debut for Kent in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy against Surrey.

Still raw at the moment, Gilchrist has had a long cricketing journey. The Harare born will look to impress the selectors, which could open the doors for the national selection.
