Kofi James is a player to watch out for in the years to come. The Antiguan all-rounder made his first-class debut for the Leeward Islands in February 2022. However, his CPL debut came in 2023 for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. However, he shifted his base to the Barbados Royals for the 2025 CPL edition. 

Kofi comes from a family of cricketers. His dad and brother used to play cricket, and that's where he started developing an interest in the game. The 1997-born athlete revealed in an interview that he first started playing tennis ball cricket and then slowly graduated to leather ball. 

Kofi, who likes to be called a genuine all-rounder, started as an opening batter, but as his off-spin improved, teams started considering him as an all-rounder. 

The all-rounder belongs to one of Antigua's top clubs, Liberta Sports Club, which is headed by former West Indies pacer Kenneth Benjamin. Kofi admits that Benjamin and Rakheem Cornwall (another Liberta Sports Club product) played a major role in developing his cricketing career. 

He states that his first-class century against the Windward Islands in 2023 is his "best" so far. 

In future, the Antigua-born player would like to represent the West Indies in international cricket. However, he also wishes to play in the IPL and Big Bash as well.
