Player Bio

Kate Peterson is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League. A dynamic all-rounder, Peterson signed a two-year deal with the Thunder prior to the WBBL season 06.

A right-arm fast bowler with an ability to tonk the ball out of the park, Peterson became the second graduate of the Thunder WBBL Academy, after Hannah Darlington.

She bowls a tight line and lengths and her impressive performance at the under-age level earned her a two-year deal with the Thunder.

Despite joining the Thunders in 2019, she had to wait until the following season to make her debut.

So far, things have not gone according to her plans. But still young at the moment, Peterson has all the necessary tools to succeed to become a future Australian superstar.
