A left-arm spinner from Baroda, the youngster made his first-class debut in 2009 and has been a regular in the Baroda team. In his second first-class season, Bhatt was a major contributor in Baroda’s run to the Ranji Trophy final. He finished as the top wicket-taker in the National Championship with 47 wickets from nine matches. Signed on by Kings XI Punjab prior to IPL 2011 he played 10 out of 14 games in his first season but didn’t have a very successful outing in 2012, claiming two wickets from the five matches.
