A right-arm off-break bowler, Ashian Daniel is a Sri Lankan cricketer who is known for his wicket-taking ability.
He made his first-class debut for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2019-20 Premier League Tournament. Prior to his first-class debut, Daniel was a part of the Sri Lankan U-19 squad for the 2020 World Cup.
The year 2021 was a turning point in Daniel’s career. He got a taste of his maiden T20 game when the talented spinner was drafted in the Nondescript Cricket Club squad for the 2020-21 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. He bowled well in his debut match against Bloomfield and picked up a solitary wicket under his name.
A crafty spinner, with great wicket-taking ability, Daniel is arguably one of the most exciting young prospects in the Sri Lankan domestic setup.
