West Indies predicted XI vs India in 3rd ODI [Source: AP]The West Indies cricket team have suffered a miserable fate in the first two ODIs of the three-match series against India. After losing the series 2-0, the third and final ODI at Mullanpur will be a battle for the visitors to save face against a whitewash. The India vs West Indies 2nd ODI saw Shubman Gill anchor the mammoth chase with his double ton while Rohit Sharma made his mark with a well-deserved century. On the other hand, despite three centuries from the Caribbean side, the team had no answers with the ball.Ahead of the IND vs WI 3rd ODI at Mullanpur on October 3, the West Indies team will be looking to field their best Playing XI to challenge the formidable hosts. Openers and Top Order: John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Shai HopeJohn Campbell’s century off just 67 deliveries in the 2nd ODI will make his case for inclusion in the Playing XI for the 3rd ODI. His aggressive intent at the top will once again be crucial, along with Keacy Carty.According to a report from Cricbuzz, Justin Greaves, who slammed a fabulous century in the first ODI, will remain sidelined from the third ODI as well. Notably, Greaves was ruled out of the second match of the series due to a calf injury. Therefore, Keacy Carty’s inclusion is a more sensible choice despite his 9-run outing. Jewel Andrew is an alternate prospect for Carty; however, given the experience in the national side and ability to handle high-pressure situations, it is likely that Carty will make it to the Playing XI once again. Keacy Carty has 1836 ODI runs under his belt across 51 innings. The skipper, Shai Hope, will fill in the No. 3 position as he has in the past two matches to anchor any early scare. Hope has garnered 116 runs from the 2 ODI games at an average of 58 with a century in his last appearance.Middle Order And All-Rounders: Amir Jangoo, Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Keemo PaulAt No. 4, Amir Jangoo will retain his place after a heroic 114 from just 77 deliveries against India in the last ODI. The 29-year-old has 400 runs in the format. With 11 one-day match experience in his bag, he can control the tone of the game in the middle overs as well. Also Read- John Campbell, Justin Greaves Break 24-Year-Old Feat: All Records Made In IND vs WI 1st ODISherfane Rutherford faced a humiliating golden duck dismissal against Gurnoor Brar in his only appearance in the IND vs WI series; however, he will be backed over the centurion Justin Greaves for the final ODI owing to his finishing prowess (849 ODI runs, Strike rate: 99.2). Roston Chase and Keemo Paul will be rounding off the middle order as all-rounders from the squad. The duo make up for solid acceleration in the late phases with the bat. Although they haven’t impressed much with the ball in the series, the West Indies side would like to have the all-rounder expertise by their side for the Mullanpur clash.Bowlers: Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales, Gudakesh MotieThe pace bowling department will be led by Alzarri Joseph from the front. He has taken just 1 wicket throughout the series but remains one of the vital cogs of the Caribbean bowling department. Meanwhile, Jayden Seales will add his pace bowling as well on the predictable yet bouncy Mullanpur surface. Shamar Joseph will be the third pace bowling option for the team. He has averaged 52.0 in India in ODIs while bowling at an economy rate of 8.67.Vitel Lawes bowled 10 overs in the 2nd ODI to make his case in India for the first time. However, he failed miserably, remaining wicketless. Hence, the West Indies team management can now look to spin veteran Gudakesh Motie again for the 3rd ODI to lead the spin department alongside Chase.West Indies Predicted Playing XI vs India- 3rd ODIJohn Campbell, Keacy Carty, Shai Hope (c & wk), Amir Jangoo, Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Keemo Paul, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales, Gudakesh MotieAlso Read- Bangladesh's Nahid Rana Selected In SA20’s Most Expensive Auction List
