The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have found their mojo back in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). Currently having a two-game winning streak, CSK will next take on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 53 at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

In last game, Sanju Samson played a remarkable hand of 87* runs, with solid support from Kartik Sharma, as they chased down the target of 156 runs vs DC with ease.

If Samson was the hero with the bat, CSK's spinners- Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein- bowled tremendously well in tandem, restricting the opposition to a below-par score.

Ahead of their next big game, let us look at the best CSK Playing XI vs LSG.

Top Order: Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Urvil Patel

CSK are blessed with two quality openers at the top of the order. Sanju Samson has been in tremendous form since the 2026 T20 World Cup, and Samson is translating the same wearing the prestigious yellow jersey. On the other side, Ruturaj Gaikwad may have started the season slow, but he has picked up in recent games. The two openers will be the first names on the CSK Playing XI vs LSG.

The Urvil Patel experiment is not working that well for the five-time champions, but CSK may give the stylish batter one more go.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Kartik Sharma, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Jamie Overton

Kartik Sharma had a poor start to the season, but the youngster has been a different gravy since getting benched for a couple of matches. He has played two good knocks in his last two outings, making him a likely pick in the CSK Playing XI vs LSG.

Chennai could look to give another chance to Shivam Dube, who was missing from the CSK Playing XI in the last game. Dube is still the most dangerous player against spin.

Dewald Brevis has been nothing but a disappointment for them, but the Proteas would need one game to turn things around. Jamie Overton, on the other hand, has been a dream player for CSK this season, bringing balance with his 3D play.

Although Chennai could see rain in the afternoon on Sunday, Prashant Veer will still be a gun option for the Impact Player vs LSG, especially for his special skillsets. Moreover, there is no update on MS Dhoni's availability, and he will likely miss the CSK vs LSG match.

Bowlers: Noor Ahmad, Akeal Hosein, Anshul Kamboj, Mukesh Choudhary

The spin twins- Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein- were the key difference in the CSK Playing XI in their last victory. Given it is an afternoon affair, CSK will likely bank even more on the two tweakers.

Anshul Kamboj and Mukesh Choudhary have been impressive despite CSK not having a big name in the bowling department. The pitch at Chepauk will offer even more in the afternoon to the two quality Indian seamers.

CSK Playing XI vs LSG- Sanju Samson (wk), Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Urvil Patel, Kartik Sharma, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Jamie Overton, Noor Ahmad, Akeal Hosein, Anshul Kamboj, Mukesh Choudhary
