India's team management is helmed by Gautam Gambhir | PC- AFPThe team management, helmed by head coach Gautam Gambhir, gets criticised from left, right, and centre for its out-of-the-box decisions, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's childhood coach has become the latest critic. The 15-year-old prodigy, with limited opportunities, has shown he can turn the tables from any point. However, the attacking southpaw has been asked to sit out during the ongoing IND vs WI T20Is to accommodate Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma.Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's childhood coach deems team management dictatorWhile criticising the India team management, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's childhood coach, Manish Ojha, called their treatment a "dictatorship". He also added that no player is made while sitting out and serving water. "This current Indian team management feels that they make players by keeping them on the bench. There are many other legends of cricket; you talk to them, and everyone will say that if we have to prepare the next generation of players, they must be put into those situations; they must be made to play. Sitting on the bench, no player has ever been made, nor will they be. And especially if such talent is kept on the bench," Manish Ojha told Sports Now.ALSO READLockie Ferguson Addresses Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Threat Ahead Of T20I Series"Then either they have made up their mind that this kid will not be given a chance... keep him out and frustrate him so much. He is sitting outside and serving water. I feel that the management that is here right now is practising a kind of dictatorship where whatever comes to mind, they will do," he further remarked. Why is Vaibhav Sooryavanshi not playing in IND vs WI T20Is?Vaibhav Sooryavanshi last featured in the Indian colours during the Asian Games 2026, where he became the youngest from his country to win an Asiad Gold. On Japan's testing conditions, to accommodate the attacking southpaw, Sanju Samson was demoted to number 3, while Sooryavanshi opened the innings with Abhishek Sharma. The whole batting order was demoted, as Team India played with one fewer bowling option. Meanwhile, the strategy has been completely different in the ongoing IND vs WI T20Is, with Samson back as opener alongside Sharma. With both the senior openers having had a fruitful outing so far in the first T20Is, it looks like Sooryavanshi still has to wait for his chance. Nevertheless, the fourth T20I between India and West Indies is scheduled for Wednesday at Uppal. ALSO READRugby Player Involved In Ben Stokes' Nightclub Incident Suspended From Team
